The Clipston Trail Races take place on Sunday, 20 September 2026 in Clipston, near Market Harborough. The event is organised by Race Harborough in conjunction with the Clipston Recreation Field Trust, a charity that maintains the village playing fields and facilities. Funds raised will be used for maintenance and development of the recreation ground, including replacement of the tennis courts as required.

Entry fees are listed as £25.00 for the Half Marathon and £18.00 for the Country 5 Miler. Competitors must be at least 17 years old on the day of the race.

Course and race services

Both races start and finish at Clipston Recreation Ground on Station Road. The routes run on bridleways and footpaths with short sections on minor country roads, and the final section from Kelmarsh back to Clipston is on a footpath. Total ascent on the course is 237 m. There are four water stations on the half marathon route and one on the 5 miler; participants are asked to bring their own cup to refill. A GPX file of the route is available.

Facilities and other information

Car parking is available in the field opposite the recreation ground. All finishers receive a medal and homemade cake supplied by Clipston WI. The event crosses working farms and is not suitable for canicross. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
