Clipston Trail Half and Country 5 Mile
The Clipston Trail Races take place around Clipston Recreation Ground, Market Harborough. The event is organised in conjunction with the Clipston Recreation Field Trust, a charity that manages the village playing fields. Funds raised are used for maintenance and development of the facilities, including eventual replacement of the tennis courts.
The courses leave from the pavilion area and run into the surrounding countryside. Runners follow bridleways with short sections on minor country roads; the final stretch from Kelmarsh back to Clipston is on a footpath. The half marathon route gains a total of 237 m in height and offers rural views across Northamptonshire. A route map and GPX file are available.

Entry fees are stated as £25.00 for the half marathon and £18.00 for the 5 mile. Competitors must be at least 17 on race day. Early entries for the 2026 event submitted before the end of 2025 are entered into a draw to win a TrailKube. Online entry and transfer deadlines are set in the event information.
There are medals and homemade cakes for all finishers provided by the local WI. The half marathon has four water stations; the 5 mile has one. Runners are asked to bring a cup to refill. Free parking is available on site in the field opposite the recreation ground. The course crosses working farms so the event is not suitable for canicross.
