Clipston Trail Half and Country 5 Miler

The Clipston Trail Races are held on trails and bridleways through the countryside around Clipston, with short sections on minor country roads and a final stretch from Kelmarsh back to Clipston on a footpath. The route passes rolling farmland and offers views of the Northamptonshire countryside. Total ascent on the half marathon route is 237 m.

Distances:

  • Half marathon
  • Country 5 miler

The event is organised in conjunction with the Clipston Recreation Field Trust, a charity that owns and maintains the village playing fields. Revenue supports maintenance and development of local facilities, including future replacement of the tennis courts.

Entry details from the organiser state entry fees of £25.00 for the half marathon and £18.00 for the 5 miler. Competitors must be at least 17 on the day. Online entries close the Wednesday before the race and transfer of entries closes the Sunday before the race. Registrations are collected on race morning and race packs are not posted.

There are medals and homemade cakes for all finishers; the cakes are prepared by Clipston WI. Water stations are provided on course and participants are asked to bring a personal cup for refills. Free on-site parking is available. The course crosses working farms and the event is not suitable for canicross. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
