Clipston Trail Half and Country 5 Miler

The Clipston Trail event on Sunday 20 September 2026 is held from Clipston Recreation Ground, Station Road, Clipston, Market Harborough LE16 9RN. Two organised races run on local trails and country paths around Clipston.

The course begins opposite the pavilion and leads uphill into the surrounding countryside. Runners use bridleways with short sections on minor country roads; the final stretch from Kelmarsh back to Clipston is on a footpath. The total height gained on the half marathon route is 237 m. A GPX file for the route is provided.

Entry details and rules are published for the event. Entry fees are £25.00 for the half marathon and £18.00 for the 5 mile race. Competitors must be at least 17 on race day. Online entries close on the Wednesday before the race and transfer of entries closes the Sunday before the race. Booking for the 2026 event before the end of 2025 enters runners into a draw to win a TrailKube.

Race numbers and timing chips are available on race morning when registration opens. There are four water stations on the half marathon and one on the 5 mile course; participants are asked to bring their own cup for refills. Free parking is available in the field opposite the Recreation Ground; participants should follow marshal directions on the day. Because the route crosses working farms, the event is not suitable for canicross competitors.

The event is organised with the Clipston Recreation Field Trust. Proceeds support maintenance and development of the playing fields and facilities, including replacement of the tennis courts as required.
