Hoby Hop Trail Race 10th anniversary special

This event marks the tenth running of a chip timed five mile cross country and Canicross race across the Upper Wreake valley. The course follows countryside terrain with fields, stiles, brooks, traditional footpaths, some hills and open views over Leicestershire and beyond.

Race headquarters is at Hoby & District village hall and will be open on race day for bag drop, toilet facilities, number collection and on the day entries if places remain available. On the day entries will be offered for both races when they have not sold out; organisers will publish how many on the day places are available once online entries close three days before race day.

Transfers remain open until the evening before race day. Deferrals are permitted if organisers are informed at least 24 hours before race day, or in emergencies up to one hour before each race. Car parking will be available on site and closes mid afternoon.

Key event details include a maximum of 200 entrants, a minimum age of 12 years, and online entries closing on 30/09/2026. Entry fees are listed at £15.00 for each of the two five mile races. Prize categories cover first and veteran placings, junior placings, mixed team prizes, course record prizes, and a tenth anniversary commemorative wooden medal for all finishers.
