Hoby Hop Trail Race 10th anniversary special

The event is a 10th anniversary five-mile chip-timed cross country and Canicross race in the Upper Wreake valley. The course runs over fields, stiles, brooks and traditional footpaths, with some hills and views over Leicestershire. Race headquarters is at Hoby & District village hall and will be open on race day for bag storage, toilets, number collection and on-the-day entries if places remain.

The event is described as undulating cross country. Maximum entrants are 200; entries close on 30/09/2026. Entry fee is £15 for each race. Minimum age is 12 years. On-the-day Canicross entries may be accepted until shortly before the race and trail race on-the-day entries may be accepted later, subject to availability. Transfers remain open until the evening before race day. Deferrals are permitted if organisers are informed at least 24 hours before the event, or in emergency up to 1 hour before each race. Car parking will be available on site on race day.

Prizes are awarded across multiple categories including overall, veteran and junior classes, and team mixed. All finishers receive a 10th anniversary commemorative wooden medal.
