Hoby Hop Trail Race 10th anniversary special
The Hoby Hop Trail Race 10th anniversary special takes place on Saturday 3 October 2026 in the Upper Wreake valley. The event is a five mile chip timed cross country and Canicross race run across countryside featuring fields, stiles, brooks, traditional footpaths, the odd hills and views over Leicestershire and beyond.
Race headquarters will be at Hoby & District village hall. Facilities include bag storage, toilets and number collection, and on the day entries may be offered if places remain.
Parking for the event is provided on the church field on Thrussington Road, Hoby LE14 3EB. Organisers permit entry transfers until the evening before race day. Deferrals are permitted when organisers are informed at least 24 hours before the race or, in emergencies, up to one hour before each race. On the day entry availability for each race will be confirmed after online entries close three days before the event.
The event is limited to a maximum of 200 entrants. Entries close on 30 September 2026 and the minimum age is 12 years. Entry fees listed are five mile Trail Race £15.00 and five mile Canicross Race £15.00. Prizes are awarded for first male, first female, first vet male, first vet female, first junior male, first junior female and first mixed team.
