Hoby Hop Trail Race 10th anniversary special
The Hoby Hop Trail Race takes place on Saturday, 3 October 2026. Now in its 10th year, the event is a five-mile, chip timed cross country and Canicross race across the Upper Wreake valley. The route passes through fields, stiles, brooks and traditional footpaths, and includes some hills with views over Leicestershire and beyond.
Race headquarters are at Hoby & District village hall and will be open on race day for bag drop, toilet facilities and number collection. Car parking is on the church field, Thrussington Road, Hoby, LE14 3EB; the car park is open from 9:00 and closes at 14:00.

- Entry fee: 5 Mile Trail Race £15.00; 5 Mile Canicross Race £15.00
Entry transfers remain open until the evening before the race. Deferrals are permitted if organisers are informed at least 24 hours before race day, and may also be allowed in emergencies with shorter notice. Prize categories cover first male, first female, vet and junior categories, team mixed, course record prizes and a 10th anniversary commemorative wooden medal to all finishers.
