Hoby Hop Trail Race 10th anniversary special

The event takes place on Saturday 3 October 2026 and marks the tenth running of this five mile chip timed cross country and Canicross race. The course runs across the Upper Wreake valley countryside, using fields, stiles, brooks and traditional footpaths with some hills and views over Leicestershire and beyond.

Race headquarters are at Hoby & District village hall. The hall is open from 9.00am on race day for bag drop, toilet facilities and number collection. Car parking will be available from 9am until 2pm on the day.

Entry is capped at 200 runners. Entries close on 30/09/2026 and the minimum age is 12 years. Entry fees are listed for each race category.

On-the-day entries may be offered if places remain; the organiser gives specific cutoffs for these entries shortly before each race. Transfers remain possible until the evening before race day. Deferrals are permitted where organisers are informed at least 24 hours before race day, or in emergencies up to one hour before each race.

Prizes are awarded in multiple categories for both races, and every finisher receives a 10th anniversary commemorative wooden medal. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
