LRAA 100th Cross Country Championships 2026
The Leicestershire and Rutland Athletics Association holds its 100th County Cross Country Championships on Saturday 12 December 2026 at Rotherby Lodge Farm, Rotherby, LE14 2LL. All races are held under UKA and ECCA rules. A provisional timetable sets races for a range of age categories with approximate distances.
Distances by race category
- 1 km U10 development race
- 1.8 km U12 girls and boys
- 3 km U14 girls and boys
- 4 km U16 girls and boys
- 5 km U18 women
- 6 km U18 men
- 8 km U20 seniors masters women
- 10 km U20 seniors masters men
Age categories follow UKA rules for 2027 age grouping. U10 to Masters are defined with date of birth ranges and eligibility notes for county qualification. U20 athletes will count towards senior team competition and there will be no team awards in the U20 category.
Team and individual awards are made to county qualified entrants only. Individual medals are awarded to the first three finishers in each race and team medals to the first three teams where applicable. Senior male and female trophy cups are presented to the first qualified senior finishers in the combined race. Team scoring uses the first three finishers from each club except for senior men and masters men where more scorers apply.
Entries are limited to 500 and the minimum age is 8 years. Entry fees include a £2 charitable donation to local causes and there are no team entry fees. Entries close on 8 December 2026.
