Winwick Hall Trail Races

The Winwick Hall Trail Races take place on and around the Winwick Hall Estate in Northamptonshire. The event features multiple distances held on varied terrain, including grassland, country paths, and hard-packed trails. The courses are fully marked with arrow signs and marshaled by volunteers.

Participants can choose from three distinct distances:

  • 10 km - Open to runners aged 16 and over.
  • 5 km - Open to runners aged 12 and over.
  • 2 km - A fun run for children aged 4 to 12.

The routes incorporate natural elevation changes, including hills and descents. Due to the nature of the terrain across farmland, dogs are not permitted to participate. The event is cupless, meaning participants must bring their own reusable cups or bottles for hydration. A water station is available at the halfway point for the 10 km route, and water is also available at the finish line.

The event serves as a fundraiser for the Bruce Green Foundation, a charity supporting young people in Northamptonshire. Facilities at the race headquarters include parking and an on-site tea room serving refreshments. Participants receive timing chips and race numbers at registration and a race medal upon finishing. Professional first aid is stationed at the start and finish with access to the course if required. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
