The Drone Valley Trail Half Marathon is a self-guided trail race of 13.1 miles held at Drone Valley Brewery in Unstone, Derbyshire (Unit 2, Unstone Business Complex, S18 4AB). The event is organised by Peaks and Dales Guiding and will be held on 11 October 2025. Entries open 27 March 2025 and close 10 October 2025. Entry fees are £23 for UKA affiliated runners and £25 for non-affiliated runners; UKA affiliated runners receive a £2 discount. Minimum age is 18 years. No dogs are permitted. Refunds are only offered if the event is cancelled.

Route, safety and race provisions

The route mixes forest paths, fields, bridleways and minor roads with about 1,700 feet of elevation. The course includes some steep climbs and several runnable sections. The event is largely self-navigated and unsupported, with one halfway aid station and first aid cover at key points including the start/finish and the halfway station. Runners receive a GPX file and written race instructions; final files will be emailed to entrants before the event. There is no parking at the brewery; parking is available in a layby a few hundred metres up the road. Mandatory kit includes at least 1 litre water capacity, a waterproof jacket, warm layers, an emergency blanket, a whistle, emergency snacks, and a charged mobile phone with the race contact number saved.
