This event is a circular half marathon taking place within Thetford Forest at High Lodge, Brandon, IP27 0AF. The route covers 13.1 miles over mixed surfaces including hard-packed sand, grassy footpaths and forest trails. The course is traffic free and well signed, and the setting includes wildlife such as fallow deer and areas of wild thyme.

Timing is manual and professional photography is provided. The race operates as a cupless event; fresh drinking water will be available for participants to refill their own bottles, but no cups are supplied. Toilets are available at the start and finish area. Podium trophies are awarded to the top three male and female finishers and medals are provided for finishers.

Entry conditions include a minimum age of 17 years and a 3.5 hour cut-off for the half marathon. A small additional fee applies to non-attached club runners to comply with UK Athletics rules.
