High Lodge Half Marathon – Autumn
The event is a half marathon (13.1 miles) held at High Lodge, Thetford Forest, Brandon, IP27 0AF. The course is a circular trail route that crosses a variety of terrains, including hard-packed sand, grassy footpaths and forest trails. The route is traffic free, well signed and described as passing through areas with wildlife such as fallow deer and plants like wild thyme.
Event details
- Entry fee listed as £25 / £27. A cut-off of 3.5 hours applies and the minimum age is 17 years.
- Timing is manual. Professional photography is provided and toilets are available at the start and finish.
- A finisher medal is offered; one note mentions a charge of £4 for a medal in some places. Podium trophies are given to the top three male and female finishers.
- This is a cupless race. Drinking water will be available for refilling personal bottles, but no disposable cups will be provided.
- Race numbers are not posted in advance and must be collected at the race start. Competitors must agree to the event terms and conditions and confirm they are medically fit to enter.
- Medical assistance is available during the event, but organisers and landowners do not accept liability for injuries. Appropriate grippy footwear is advised for the varied terrain.
