High Lodge Half Marathon - Autumn
High Lodge Half Marathon - Autumn is a circular half marathon event based at High Lodge in Thetford Forest, Brandon, IP27 0AF. The route passes through forested areas that are home to wildlife such as fallow deer and wild thyme and follows hard-packed trails and forest footpaths.
The multi-terrain course combines hard-packed sand, grassy footpaths and forest trails on a well signed 13.1 mile route. The course is traffic free and described as offering varied scenic terrain. Appropriate grippy footwear is recommended because of the mixed surfaces.
The event is manually timed and operates as a cupless race; fresh drinking water is available for refilling personal bottles but no single-use cups are provided. The published cut-off for the half marathon is 3.5 hours and the minimum age for entrants is 17 years. Race numbers will not be posted in advance and must be collected at the race start.
Facilities and outcomes include toilets at the start and finish, professional photography, trophies for the top three male and top three female finishers, and an eco-friendly finisher medal which may incur an additional fee. Non-club attached runners incur a small additional charge under UK Athletics rules. Medical assistance is provided during the event but all competitors enter at their own risk. TRA Permit 6989 applies. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
