High Lodge Half Marathon - Autumn
This event is a circular half marathon (13.1 miles) around High Lodge in Thetford Forest, Brandon (IP27 0AF). The route uses a mix of hard-packed sand, grassy footpaths and forest trails and is described as traffic free. The forest environment includes wildlife such as fallow deer and wild thyme.
The event is manually timed and the course is well signed. Facilities and services include professional photography, toilets at the start and finish, and fresh water refill points; no single-use cups will be provided as this is a cupless race. All finishers receive an eco-friendly finisher medal and trophies are awarded to the top three male and female finishers.
Entry details and participation rules include a minimum age of 17 years, a 3.5-hour cut-off for the half marathon, and an entry fee of £25 / £27. A £2 fee applies to non-attached club runners to comply with UK Athletics rules. Race numbers are collected at the race start on the day; numbers are not posted in advance.
This is a multi-terrain event and participants enter at their own risk. Competitors are expected to be medically fit and to wear appropriate grippy footwear. Medical assistance will be available during the event, but organisers and landowners accept no liability for injuries. Photographs and video from the event may be used for promotional purposes.
