Great Barrow Challenge Day 1

The Great Barrow Challenge Day 1 is hosted by Zig Zag Running at the Suffolk Running Centre, Church Road, Bury St Edmunds, IP29 5AX. It is offered as an individual day entry within a 10-day series that provides different routes on each day. This entry is specifically for Day One on the Denham Flats route.

Available distances for the event include:

Over the full 10-day series other named routes include Windmill, Kirtling, Gallops, Dalham Kiln, Golding Hills, Chevington Chase, Mill Wind, Clover and Hargrave; routes are subject to change. Those choosing the 5k and 10k options will use Golding Hills on most days.

Race HQ / base camp is located at the start and lap point. The base camp will host a water and aid station. Parking is included in the entry price. Bespoke medals are designed for the event and are issued at the end of the race each day. The event operates as a cupless event, so no disposable cups are provided for refilling. Trail runs nearby

A volunteer-run running event in Willingham, Cambridgeshire with chip timing on flat country roads, footpaths and bridleways. Distances include 10 km and 6.5 km and children's races follow the main events.

Oaks Trail at Rivenhall Oaks golf centre on 05 Jul 2026 offers two unmarked routes of about 6.5 or 3.5 miles, with entry fees split by England Athletics affiliation and proceeds donated to Essex and Herts Air Ambulance Trust.

A roughly five mile off road trail run at High Lodge Thetford Forest with chipped timing and a finishers medal. Entries are non refundable but transfers to another runner are allowed until 06/07/2026.

A countryside event from Needham Market offering three routes of 13.5, 23 and 31.5 miles. The longest route visits ten historic churches and all routes include staffed checkpoints with refreshments.
