High Lodge 16k Guided Trail Run
This is a guided trail run of 16k at High Lodge in Thetford Forest, Brandon, Suffolk, IP27 0AF. The session combines running with information about the local forest and practical tips on trail running. The route offers a variety of woodland trails and opportunities to observe wildlife.
Runs are led at a conversational pace and participants are placed in groups with runners of similar ability. Attendees should be prepared to run at a slower pace than usual if required. The terrain is described as mostly flat with a couple of small hills; leaders will provide advice on how to tackle those sections.
Organisers allow up to 2.5 hours for the session, though actual duration will depend on the abilities of those attending. Trail shoes are recommended but road shoes are acceptable. Participants should bring at least 500 ml of water and any snacks they need. There is parking at High Lodge and a charge of £3 applies for attendees.
