Mildenhall Droves 10 Mile Social Run
This is a social group run that follows the routes of some of Mildenhall and Lakenheath's ancient droves. The route is a 10 mile loop led by Run Leaders who accompany the group and split it into smaller groups along the way based on the speed of the fastest and slowest participants. There are stops during the run to admire the scenery and to chat, and drinks and snacks are provided at the end.
The event takes place at Mildenhall Stadium in Mildenhall, IP28 8QU, on Sunday 16 August 2026. There is free parking at the start and finish. The route is not suitable for buggies or wheelchairs. Unless conditions are very wet, road shoes are considered appropriate. No chip timing and no medals are provided.
Participants are asked not to wear headphones so they remain alert to vehicles, including farm machinery, using the droves. The run is part of the Brecks Outdoor Festival, organised by the Brecks Landscape Partnership, a two week programme of curated outdoor activities across Norfolk and Suffolk that includes guided walks, cycling, running, yoga and nature based events.
