Colne Valley Path Marathon

The Colne Valley Path Marathon follows the Colne Valley Path along trails that pass through Great Yeldham and the mighty oak, finishing on the Cymbeline meadows in Colchester. The event is based at Stambourne Village Hall, Church Road, Stambourne CO9 4NP.

The route is self navigation and navigation materials will be provided as a GPX file or as written instructions available for download nearer to the event. Fully stocked aid stations and checkpoints will be provided at regular intervals of approximately 10 km along the course. The event is cupless; participants must provide their own cup for drinks. Collapsible speedcups will be available to purchase during registration or on race day for £2.50 each.

Entrants must be aged 18 or over on 23/08/2026. There is a financial option to decline a medal at registration to reduce the entry fee; participants who want a medal must select and pay for it at registration, and additional medals may not be available on the day. Trail runs nearby

Experience an evening trail run through Wivenhoe ending with a social gathering at a local pub. This five mile off road event features a mass start and requires a head torch for all participants.
