Robin Challenge

Event Format
The Robin Challenge is a 6-hour timed event on an off-road loop. Participants can choose to run, hike, or walk as many laps of the 3.3-mile (approximately 5.3 km) circuit as they wish within the time limit. The event is also open to participants with dogs under canicross rules, with a separate entry option available.
Course and Terrain
The course is located at Sence Valley Forestry Park, a Forestry England site near Ibstock, Leicestershire. The lap route uses mainly crushed stone paths of varying condition, with some grass sections that can become muddy. The terrain includes climbs and descents.
Entry and Cost
Entry is open to individuals aged 17 and over. A tiered pricing system is used: £38 before September 8, 2026, and £43 after that date. Unaffiliated runners pay an additional £2. An on-demand, virtual participation option is also available via a partner app.
Location and Facilities
The venue has a café and toilets. Parking is available on-site for a fee. The site is approximately 11 minutes from Ashby-de-la-Zouch and 12 minutes from Junction 22 of the M1 motorway. The closest train station is in Loughborough.
Other Information
The event supports Roald Dahl’s Marvellous Children’s Charity, allowing optional donations during registration. Instead of a finisher's medal, participants can opt for a tree-planting token.
