Carsington Water Half Marathon & 10k : 17 October 2026

The Carsington Water event on 17 October 2026 offers two trail race options around Carsington Water in Derbyshire. The event is organised by RunThrough and takes place on trail paths around the reservoir.

Distances

  • Half Marathon: out and back followed by one full loop of the reservoir
  • 10k: almost one full loop of the reservoir

The course is undulating and run on trail paths. Each kilometre is marked, and the route is signed with trail flags and A5 arrows. Marshals are positioned on the course to guide runners and provide encouragement.

Entries include a themed medal, water, and post-race goodies. An event village provides a range of food and drink options and free partner giveaways at the finish. GPX files for both the 10k and half marathon courses are available for download.

RunThrough highlights sustainability as a priority for its events. Volunteer roles are available for activities such as managing event village stalls and handing out finishers’ medals. An event t-shirt with the event logo is offered through partner RT Kit at a discounted price when purchased as part of an entry. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
