Rip n Run XL

The Rip n Run XL is an ultramarathon event taking place from October 17 to 18, 2026. It offers two loop distances: 40 miles (approx. 64 km) and 80 miles (approx. 129 km). Participants have a total of 28 hours to complete their chosen distance.

The event starts at the Wadsworth Community Centre in Hebden Bridge. The route explores the moors and hills around Ripponden. The 40-mile loop includes approximately 5,800 feet of elevation gain. The 80-mile loop is a double loop of the 40-mile course.

A hot meal is provided at the start/finish HQ. On the route, there are four checkpoints, with the second two being indoor locations offering shelter and proper toilet facilities. Soup is available at HQ, which also serves as a fifth checkpoint for the 80-mile distance.

Entries are online only, with no entries accepted on the day of the event. The minimum age for participation is 18. Entry fees are tiered, with reduced rates for participants under 23, and a payment installment option is available for the 80-mile distance.
