Overview

The Cracoe Fell Races are a series of fell running events taking place on Sunday 19th July 2026. The races are part of the BOFRA (British Open Fell Runners Association) Championship.

Distances and Route

The main race covers a distance of 2.60 miles (4.20 km) with an elevation gain of 900 feet (274 meters). The route begins gently through fields before becoming rougher. Runners encounter obstacles including a trailer and a wall to climb over, followed by ditches and tussocks. The course finishes with a short, steep climb to the pinnacle.

Location and Parking

The event is located on the B6265 road between Skipton and Grassington, with the postcode BD23 6LB. Parking is available in a field next to Jackson's of Cracoe for a charge of £3, with all proceeds donated to the Yorkshire Air Ambulance. Parking on the lane to the race is not permitted. Trail runs nearby

Trail races at Bramham Park on 12 April 2026 include 5km, 10km and a half marathon across estate trails and views. The event allows one controlled dog per runner and provides live chip timing and finisher medals.

A short fell race in Haworth with a 4.8 km route and 100 m climb, based at the Sun Inn. Entry on the day is available and finishers receive a Cadbury's Creme Egg.

Take on the Ossy Moors Fell Race in Oswaldtwistle on Wednesday 15 April 2026. This lively 5 mile fell course with about 300 m of climb weaves Bowland trails and offers on the day entry for a friendly competitive vibe.

A 137 km trail challenge on the Pennine Bridleway with a 50 hour cut-off, indoor checkpoints, bunkroom accommodation and GPX navigation support. Entry is limited to 20 participants and total ascent is 3275 m.
