Cracoe Fell Races

The Cracoe Fell Races are scheduled for Sunday 19 July 2026 in Cracoe in the Yorkshire Dales. The senior course covers 2.60 miles (4.20 km) with approximately 900 feet (274 metres) of climb.

The route begins with a gentle section through fields that includes a trailer and a wall to climb over. The middle section becomes rough underfoot with ditches and tussocks to negotiate, and the finishing section features a short steep climb to the pinnacle.

The venue is a park beside Jackson's of Cracoe on the B6265 between Skipton and Grassington, postcode BD23 6LB. Parking is in a field next to Jackson's; a parking charge of £3 applies with proceeds donated to the Yorkshire Air Ambulance. Competitors are asked not to park on the lane to the race.

Pre-entry and entry on the day are both available at a fee of £5. Junior races run before the senior race. Junior categories are under 9, under 12, under 14 and under 17. Junior entry is £2, categories are based on age on 1 May and the minimum age on race day for junior runners is 6. The minimum age for senior competitors is 17 with age taken as at 1 May.
