Grafham Water Trail Races

The Grafham Water Trail Races take place on Sunday, 11th October 2026 and use trails and tracks around Grafham Water. Race HQ, the start and finish, is at Marlow Park, Grafham, Huntingdon, Cambridgeshire. The routes follow local trails and sections of the Three Shires Way bridleway and offer views of the reservoir and surrounding countryside.

Both races are fully marked and marshalled. The event offers the following distances:

• 10k
• Half Marathon

Entries will be priced at £25 for the 10k and £30 for the half marathon, and entries and transfers close seven days before the event. Minimum ages on race day are 16 for the 10k and 17 for the half marathon. The race cut off time is four hours for both races. Dogs are not permitted on the course.

On-course support includes professional first aid at the start and finish with access to runners on the course. Race Harborough volunteers will staff water stations: three on the half marathon and one on the 10k with additional water at the finish. GPX files are available for both routes. No in-ear headphones are allowed; bone conduction devices that do not sit in the ear are permitted.

Mandatory kit includes a fully charged mobile phone and a personal cup as the races are cupless. Trail shoes or shoes with grip are advisable. Prizes are awarded to the top three male and female finishers in each race and all finishers receive a race medal. Merchandise can be pre-ordered up to three weeks before the event and free digital race photos will be available after the event. The event supports Jubilee Foodbank Market Harborough and Weston Favell Centre Foodbank Northampton and offers entrants the opportunity to donate.
