Grafham Water Trail Races
The Grafham Water Trail Races take place in Huntingdon, Cambridgeshire, featuring a course that showcases the surrounding countryside and reservoir views. The event is staged at Marlow Park and utilizes local trails and tracks, including sections of the Three Shires Way long-distance bridleway.
Participants can choose from two distances:
- 10 km
- Half Marathon
The 10 km route heads west toward Easton before looping back to the finish. The Half Marathon follows a similar initial path but continues for a large lap of the reservoir. Both routes are fully marked with arrow signs. The event is cupless, so all runners are required to bring their own vessel for hydration. Half marathon participants must also carry a fully charged mobile phone.
The event features several support services, including professional first aid and marshals. Registered runners have access to water stations along the course, with one station for the 10 km and three for the Half Marathon. All finishers receive a race medal, and prizes are awarded to the top three male and female finishers in each category.
Registration takes place at Marlow Park, where parking is available for a fee. The races have a four-hour cut-off time. Due to the routes crossing farmland footpaths, dogs are not permitted. Participant requirements include a minimum age of 16 for the 10 km and 17 for the Half Marathon. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
