Grafham Water Trail Races

Event overview

The Grafham Water Trail Races take place on Sunday, 11 October 2026, at Marlow Park, Grafham Water, Huntingdon, Cambridgeshire (PE28 0BH). The event offers fully marked and marshalled trail races on the trails and tracks around the reservoir. Routes use sections of the Three Shires Way bridleway; the 10k returns on the outward track while the half marathon includes a large lap of the reservoir. GPX files for both routes are provided.

Distances and entry

• Half Marathon

Entries will be priced at £25 for the 10k and £30 for the half marathon. Minimum ages on race day are 16 for the 10k and 17 for the half marathon. Entry transfers and new entries close seven days before the event. The race cut-off time is four hours for both distances. Running with dogs is not permitted.

Support, kit and other details

Professional first aid will be available at the start and finish, with course access for medics. Volunteers will provide water at three stations on the half marathon route and one station on the 10k; water will also be available at the finish. No in-ear headphones are allowed; bone-conduction devices that do not sit in the ear are permitted. Trail shoes or shoes with grip are advisable. Mandatory items include a fully charged mobile phone and a personal cup, as the event is cupless.

Prizes will be awarded to the top three male and female finishers in both races, and all finishers will receive a race medal. Merchandise can be pre-ordered before the event; no merchandise will be sold on race day. The event will support local foodbanks as its chosen charities.
