Cannock Chase Running Festival Half Marathon, 10K, 5K & Junior Race

The Cannock Chase Running Festival takes place on 11 October 2026 at Birches Valley, Rugeley, on the trails of Cannock Chase Forest. The event offers several race distances and a junior race.

Races run along forest paths, woodland tracks and gravel roads with accurate mile markers. The course is marked with trail flags and A5 arrows, and marshals are positioned to guide and encourage participants. A well-serviced event village provides food and drink options and free goodies from event partners.

Entry benefits listed by the organiser include a unique themed medal, free race photos, chip-timed results and post race goodies. An event t-shirt is available at more than 30 percent off when purchased as part of the entry; the t-shirt offer is provided in partnership with RT Kit as part of an effort to manage event costs and raise awareness of the product.

A multi-distance run along a disused railway between Ironbridge and Bridgnorth, offering distances from 9 miles to 37 miles with 9.4 mile laps and aid stations every 4.7 miles.

A muddy 5k obstacle event at Central Forest Park on 26 July 2026 where participants climb, crawl and slide over grass, woodland and tarmac surfaces. Waves run every 15 minutes and the event provides basic facilities and fundraising support.

Trail run with music around Calke Abbey, meeting at Ticknall Village Hall Car Park. Free entry and parking, a roughly 8 km route within a 90 minute session, organised by Run 4 U & Perform Running Club.

A trail event around Hartington in the Peak District offering two scenic routes of about 26 miles and 15 miles, with checkpoints, aid stations, mandatory navigation kit and a village event base.
