Phoenix: Manchester - Priya's Birthday Biryani Dash

Phoenix Running Manchester stages Priya's Birthday Biryani Dash at Burrs Country Park in Bury, Greater Manchester on 11 October 2026. The event is a lapped run where participants may complete as many laps as they like within a seven hour time limit.

One lap measures 3.28 miles (5.3 km) with approximately 187 ft of elevation per lap. The route is mostly hard-packed trail and riverside trail. Organisers may adjust the running route for safety depending on weather conditions.

The event supports The Sunnywood Project; part of the entry fee is donated to that organisation. The first 50 entries receive vegan biryani from Fozia's Kitchen with their medal. Trail runs nearby

A 3 km or 5 km run at Bowdon Rugby Club with drinking stations every kilometre and a mix of inflatable and non inflatable obstacles. Drinks are included and only participants aged 18 or over may take part.

Scenic 5K, 10K and half marathon options in Bingley organised by Its Grim Up North Running, with finishers receiving a jumble medal plus hot food and a drink. Online places have sold out but places on the day are available.

A timed track ultra at Woodbank Park where runners complete as many 400 m laps as possible within 6, 12 or 24 hour limits, with chip timing, an aid station and indoor facilities on site.

Test yourself on a scenic fell course in the South West Pennines near Kelbrook, 5.5 km with 213 m of climb. On the day entry only, £7, with £2 parking at The Old Barn. Teams welcome and minimum age 16; no junior races.
