Two trail race distances, 25 km and 50 km, at Harrold-Odell Country Park in Bedford on 13 March 2027, organised by Thunder Races with early-bird and standard fees and instalment options.

A 32 miles point to point ultra from Powis Estate in Welshpool to Caffi Wylfa in Chirk on 13 March 2027, featuring mixed terrain, two aid stations and finishers plates and goodies.

A 13.98 km fell race in Hayfield, Peak District, with 451 m of climb, held at Hayfield Primary School. Pre-entry and on-the-day entry are available; funds support the school and donations are made to Kinder Mountain Rescue.

A 21 mile annual March challenge through the hills of the Peak District for runners and walkers. Entries usually open in November and places often sell out quickly.

A trail marathon and 20 mile trail run on an anti clockwise circular route through track, maintained trail, fields and woodland, with marked junctions, GPX files, staffed checkpoints, on course medic cover, medals and prizes.

Two Crosses is an East Lancashire LDWA challenge event scheduled for 14 March 2027. It is part of the group’s programme of LDWA challenge events, which are normally between 20 and 100 miles and have a defined time limit.

Two community trail races in Abbey Village on 14 March 2027: a scenic 9 km trail and a fully off-road 2.2 km junior run. Both courses are marshalled with first aid cover, refreshments, and proceeds supporting the local school PTA.

Forest trail races at Sherwood Pines on 14 March 2027 offering 20 mile, half marathon, 10k and a junior run. Multi terrain undulating routes with route maps and GPX files, bespoke medals, free photos and prizes.

A 50 km, one day trail run around Hayfield using the Pennine Bridleway, Pennine Way and Limestone Way, with a flexible start, self-navigation, GPX support and Ranger Ultras safety presence. Total ascent 1840 metres.

The Pennine Bridleway PB18km Trail Run covers 18 km from Hayfield to Rushup Edge and back with 806 m of ascent. It uses waymarked paths, offers flexible starts and on course support, and is self navigated under TRA and England Athletics rul..

An eight hour looped running event at Heaton Park where participants repeat a 5.6 km course of park road and woodland, use a single aid station and may enter Saturday, Sunday or both days with combined weekend results.

A 32 mile mostly traffic free urban loop around the Black Country, starting and finishing at Baggeridge Country Park on 21 March 2027. The route uses disused railway lines and canal towpaths and can be entered solo pairs or teams of four.

A way marked half marathon through forest trails around Speech House in the Forest of Dean on 21 March 2027. The Rotary Club organises the event with chip and gun timing, three water stations and charity links.

A 25 km Category BL fell race around Heptonstall in the upper Calder Valley, featuring wooded valleys, upland pasture and pathless moorland. The event is not for profit, requires full FRA kit, and is for entrants aged 18 or over.

This 50 mile ultra marathon follows the Trans Pennine Trail and River Mersey from Manchester to Liverpool. Runners benefit from six supported checkpoints and live GPS tracking over a fast course with 123 meters of elevation.

Multi terrain races around Chasewater Reservoir on 28 March 2027 offering 20k, 15k, 10k, 5k and a Junior Run. Entrants receive a bespoke medal, free photos and prizes for leading runners.

Peak Rail 7 pits runners against a steam hauled heritage train on the route from Rowsley South to Matlock Riverside and back. The course uses shared trails with marshals, on site parking, and post race photos and results published online.

A trail race of just over 10K on Easter Monday 2027 that starts at Shibden Park, climbs to Beacon Hill and runs through several Halifax landmarks. The event supports Overgate Hospice and is licensed by England Athletics.

April 2027

A spring running and walking festival in the Shropshire Hills with off road distances from 10 km to 80 km. Events raise funds for the Grow Cook Learn charity and feature varied trail terrain and staffed checkpoints serving local food.
