Shropshire Way 80K Festival

The Shropshire Way 80K Festival is a multi-distance trail festival held at the Shropshire Hills Discovery Centre in Craven Arms, Shropshire on 18 April 2026. The event highlights local food, landscape and history and attracts hundreds of runners and walkers to routes through the Shropshire Hills.

The festival raises funds for Grow Cook Learn, the charity that operates the Discovery Centre. Proceeds for 2026 will support the centre’s education programme, which teaches children from inner-city areas about how food is grown.

Routes and time limits include:

  • SW80K - 80 km, 24 hour time limit
  • Mammothon - 42 km, 12 hour time limit
  • Half Mammothon - 21 km, 6 hour time limit
  • Tusker’s 10K - 10 km, 4 hour time limit

Entry fees include free parking, local food and drink at checkpoints, first aid services, a rescue vehicle, trackers for the two longer events, a certificate of achievement and an SW80K Festival memento. The courses are hilly and pass summits, Iron Age hillforts, drovers’ routes, ancient woodland and market towns. Spaces are limited for the event.
