Across Wales Walk

The Across Wales Walk is a classic challenge walking event held annually, now in its 62nd year. Participants walk or run a demanding 45-mile linear route across Wales, starting at Anchor Bridge on the English border near Clun and finishing at Clarach Bay near Aberystwyth on the Welsh coast. The course includes diverse terrain such as tarmac, rough tracks, forest, farmland, moorland, and bog, with the highest point at Plynlimon (2,467 ft) in the Cambrian Mountains. The event offers a full weekend package with accommodation, transport, refreshments, and a presentation ceremony. It has an 18-hour time limit and requires strong navigation skills and endurance, making it suitable for experienced challenge walkers.
