The 42nd Stretton Skyline Fell Race

The Stretton Skyline is scheduled for 6 September 2026 and is organised by Telford Athletic Club. The event base is Church Stretton Sports Pavilion, Lutwyche Road, Church Stretton SY6 6AT. Minimum age for entry is 19.

The race distance is 19 mile. The route includes climbs to the summits of Pole Bank, The Ragleth, Caer Caradoc, The Lawley and the Long Mynd. Much of the course is unmarked and requires navigation; some sections in Little Stretton, Church Stretton and the section between The Lawley and the final climb up to The Long Mynd are marked.

Runners must take extreme care when crossing the A49, which is crossed twice on the route. There are four water stations on the course. Competitors are required to carry dibbers that record time and position on each summit. Check point closing times are provided as a guide for completing the course within the event time limit.

Entry details include an entry limit of 180 participants, an entry fee of £10, entries on the day at £15, entries open 25 June 2026 and close 5 September 2026. A 6.7 km fell race around the Stiperstones from Snailbeach with 375 m of ascent, steady climbs and mixed descents. Entries are available by pre-entry or on the evening and proceeds support local charities and Natural England.

A single-lap 10 km off-road race at Wyre Forest, based at Callow Hill Visitor Centre. Canicross is permitted, entry is £10 in advance or £15 cash on the night, places are limited and basic facilities are provided.

A 48 mile point to point ultra from Mid Wales Art Centre to Shrewsbury following the River Severn, with four checkpoints, vegan and gluten free food options, required 4.0 mph minimum pace and a bespoke finisher medal.

A 59 mile point to point ultramarathon following much of the River Severn from Shrewsbury to Worcester. The race has four checkpoints with vegan and gluten free options and enforces a minimum pace of 4.0 miles per hour.
