The Wild Wolf of Radnor

The Wild Wolf of Radnor is the second running of a trail race held on 23 August 2026 in Radnor forest in Mid Wales. The event is organised in aid of the Special Care Baby Unit in Hereford and covers a distance of 10 mile.

The route begins with a gentle downhill section before the first climb. After that initial ascent runners gain views of the Brecon Beacons to the south, Cadair Idris to the northwest and the Long Mynd to the northeast. The course continues uphill to Black Mixen, reaching 2130 ft above sea level, then winds back down through forest. One more climb precedes the final fast descent to the finish line.

Surfaces vary along the route and include forestry roads, open moorland and muddy, tree covered single track. The course is fully marked and chip timing is used. Two water stations are provided along the route and finishers receive a coaster.

Entry details list a price of £22.50 until 10 August 2026 and a service fee of 4 percent with a minimum charge of 50 pence per sign-up. The event is listed as open with a total of 250 places. A GPX file for the course is available. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
