Entry includes a buff, a medal, chip timing, a National Trust contribution fee, a signed posted and marshalled route, and refreshments: water and sweets at the end of the 5 mile race and at one checkpoint on the 13 mile route. The minimum age for the event is 16 or older.
Compulsory kit differs by distance. For the 5 mile race this includes a mobile phone, hydration (min 500 ml), a foil blanket or bivi bag, snacks, a basic first aid kit, a whistle, a windproof jacket and a reusable cup. For the 13 mile race this includes a mobile phone, hydration (min 2 litres), a foil blanket or bivi bag, snacks, a basic first aid kit, a whistle, waterproof jacket and trousers, hat or buff, gloves and a reusable cup.
