Beast of Llangattock
Llangattock, United Kingdom • 22 Aug 2026
Event Overview
The Beast of Llangattock is a trail running event held in Wales. It offers four distances: 10 km, 10 miles, 20 miles, and a 32 mile ultra. The event starts and finishes in Llangattock, using Park Farm as the base.
The Routes
The longer courses share common sections of trail. The 10-mile route is repeated to form the 20-mile event, and also forms part of the 32-mile ultra. The route includes trails on the Llangattock Escarpment with views of the Black Mountains, Sugar Loaf, and the Brecon Beacons. It passes by the Lonely Shepherd stone, crosses open moorland, and offers views of the Clydach Gorge. Runners will go above the caves of Craig y Cilau, descend Mynydd Llangattock into a valley, and finish through ancient woods before rejoining a section of the Brecon and Monmouthshire Canal.
