The Snow Globe Gallop Bobble Hat Run - Wales
The event is organised by Saturn Running (managed by Saturn Too Limited) and takes place at Dare Valley Country Park in Aberdare, Wales on 20 December 2026. It is staged as a seven hour Time Challenge in which participants run as far as they can within the seven hour limit.
The course uses well maintained footpaths inside the country park and offers views of the surrounding countryside. The regular route may be adjusted after a health and safety review.
Distances offered include:
- 5k - 5 km
- 10k - 10 km
- Half Marathon - 13.1 mi
- Marathon - 26.2 mi
- Ultra / Time Challenge - laps to exceed marathon, 50 km available
Entries note that the minimum distance is one lap. A full lap is 7 km (4.37 miles); three laps equal a half marathon, six laps a marathon, and seven or more laps an ultra. Finishers who complete at least one lap receive a themed medal and a bobble hat. A goody bag is included with a vegan option available. Distance pins are issued for half-marathon distance or greater. An aid table and drinks table are provided at the start/finish area for each lap.
Facilities at the venue include free parking, toilets, and a café; there are no separate changing facilities or showers. Bone conducting headphones only are permitted on course. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
