The EDDUM 2026

The EDDUM is an ultra-marathon event that guides participants through a 50 mile loop in Wales. Both the start and finish are located at Noyadd Farm Camping in Builth Wells. The course follows the Epynt Way, a permissive path that encircles the Sennybridge Training Area (SENTA). This location serves as the third largest military training ground in the United Kingdom.

The route consists of 90% trail and 10% road, featuring a total elevation gain of 8,559 feet. The terrain passes through unspoilt countryside with views of the Brecon Beacons to the south and the Cambrian Mountains to the north. Participants may encounter local wildlife, including mountain horses, while traversing the boundary of the military training area.

There are no formal time limits for this event, as the focus is on completing the distance. The course is supported by four fully staffed checkpoints. These stations provide snacks, fruit, hot and cold drinks, power banks, and seating. Organizers accommodate specific dietary requirements indicated during the registration process.

Mandatory equipment is required for all participants to ensure safety:

  • 50 miles
  • Water carrier (1 Litre)
  • Mobile phone
  • Head lamp or light source
  • Foil blanket
  • Waterproof jacket
  • Rucksack

Participants receive a finisher medal and post-race care. Registration opens on the morning of the event at the start location. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
