The EDDUM; Into the wilds 2026

The EDDUM; Into the wilds is a 50 mile route taking place on 1 August 2026. The course follows two trails in Wales, the Cambrian Way and the Heart of Wales Line, beginning at Strata Florida and finishing at Noyadd Farm Camping, Builth Wells. Total ascent on the route is listed as 7,100 ft and the terrain is approximately 90% trail and 10% road.

There are four fully stocked checkpoints along the route. Checkpoint supplies include snacks, fresh fruit, hot and cold drinks, seating, power banks and music. Organizers state they will accommodate dietary requirements if those are provided at registration. The event does not impose formal time limits for completion.

Route files are supplied via Plotaroute to allow for last minute updates and downloadable navigation files. The organizer lists mandatory kit items such as appropriate footwear, a 1 litre water carrier, mobile phone, headlamp or other light source, foil blanket, waterproof jacket and rucksack; the published list also includes a suggested sense of adventure. Entry items include a Pegasus medal, post-race care, staffed checkpoints and race crew as part of the organised event. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
