Ultra X Wales
Ultra X Wales is a multi day trail running event in the Brecon Beacons near Abergavenny held on 25–26 July 2026. The races follow rugged trails through rolling hills and valleys in this national park area.
The event offers the following race distances:
- 110 km single stage
- 110 km over two stages
- 60 km
- 50 km
- 25 km
- 12 km
Under 23s may participate for free across all race distances. Participants can camp at Llangorse Activity Centre on Friday and Saturday nights. A full Race Pack with detailed information, timings and cut offs is emailed to registered participants one month before the event.
Several races at Ultra X Wales are registered as UTMB Index Races in the 100k, 50k and 20k categories. Event services listed for the races include a fully marked course, medical support, drinking water and snacks at checkpoints, ground assistance and GPS tracking. The published cutoff policy uses time allowances of 2.5 hours per 10 km. If a participant cannot finish a stage, they are offered entry into the following edition of the race at half price but will not receive a finisher medal or an official result.
