The Loop Ultra is a trail running event on Saturday 11 October 2025 based at Camp Plas, Plas Dolanog, near Welshpool in the Cambrian Mountains of Mid Wales. The main distance is 32 miles / 50 km. Entry is priced at £85 and the minimum age is 17. The field is capped at 100 runners (plus friends and family). The route is fully marked and supported by back runners and rangers. A cut-off time of 14 hours applies. Checkpoints and three refuel zones are provided and cater for dietary requirements, including vegan options. A full medical team will be on site and online results and a photo gallery are provided after the event.

Venue, facilities and requirements

Camp Plas is an eco-friendly nature retreat on a small working farmstead by the River Vrynwy. On-site accommodation and camping options include field bell tents and log cabins; campers have access to toilets and showers, with porta-loos for non-campers. Weekend amenities listed include barbecue and bar (locally sourced food), live music, wild swimming opportunities, paddle boarding, mobile sauna, yoga, firepits and riverside walks. Parking is free for campers; a day parking charge of £5 applies with a ballot for a free future race entry. Canicross is permitted; dogs must be at least 12 months old, fit to run and kept on the lead, with owners responsible for their dogs. A mandatory kit list is enforced and a kit check will be carried out at registration; no entrant will be allowed to participate without the full kit.
