Trail Running calendar near Pennington Flash 2026-2027

Ras yr Aran is a 10 mile fell race with 3100 feet of ascent plus a junior 3.25 km race for ages 11 and over. The lower route is marked but the upper fells are unmarked and require navigation and mountain awareness.

A six hour multi-lap off road event at Sence Valley Forest Park where participants complete 3.3 mile laps at their own pace, with canicross allowed and options for a medal or tree token.

The Tideswell Terminator is an 8.9 km trail race in Tideswell on 10 October. The hilly route gains 267 m, passes Peters Stone and Hay Cop, and finishes at Bishop Pursglove Primary School.

A 13.1 miles trail race from Drone Valley Brewery in Unstone through forests, fields and riverside paths, featuring 1,700 feet of elevation, a halfway aid station, a finisher medal and a voucher for a free pint redeemable on race day.

Rivington Trail Half Marathon is a half marathon around Rivington starting and finishing at Rivington and Blackrod High School on 10 October 2026. Organised by Chorley Women FC, the race requires prior half marathon experience.
