Ultra Tour Yorkshire Dales 50k (UTYD)

The Ultra Tour Yorkshire Dales 50k takes place on 17 October 2026 in Grassington, with the event base at Grassington Devonshire Institute, 48 Main Street, Grassington, BD23 5AA. The minimum age for entry is 20. Entry fees are listed as £60 for UKA members and £62 for non-members. The event is self-navigated and offers a GPX file for the route.

Course and logistics

The route is 50k with approximately 1260 m of total ascent. The course passes Malham Tarn, Buckden Pike and sections of the Dales Way and includes runnable trails and boggy moorland. Participants may have route choice between checkpoints where allowed, but the event has no way markers and only limited marshals, so map reading, navigation skills and fell experience are required. The event uses checkpoint cut-offs. Included for participants are a route GPX, live tracking and timing, aid stations with hot and cold food and drinks, a finisher meal and a UTYD gift.
