Ultra Tour Yorkshire Dales (UTYD)

Ultra Tour Yorkshire Dales is a series of trail events based in the Yorkshire Dales with the main 100 km event starting and finishing in the village of Grassington. The 100 km race is offered as a 24 hour challenge and lists a total ascent of 2960 m.

The route visits landmarks such as Malham Tarn and Buckden Pike and uses sections of the Dales Way. Terrain includes runnable trails, boggy moorland and sustained hill climbs between valleys. The event is self-navigated with no way markers and few marshals, so map reading, navigation skills and experience on the fells are required.

GPX routes are provided for the 100 km, 50 km and 25 km distances. The 25 km route is fixed and must be followed via GPX; other distances allow route choice between checkpoints within event rules. All checkpoints must be visited, including indoor checkpoints, and cut off times apply at specified checkpoints. A kit list and full event rules are provided by the organiser. Minimum entry age is 20. Included for participants are route GPX, live tracking and timing, aid stations with hot and cold food and drinks, a finisher meal and an UTYD gift.
