Ultra Tour Yorkshire Dales (UTYD)

Ultra Tour Yorkshire Dales is a self-navigated trail event based in Grassington, Yorkshire Dales, scheduled for 17 October 2026. The event uses GPX files and has no way marking on much of the route, so participants must navigate using the provided GPX and their own map reading and navigation skills.

The route options traverse a mix of runnable trails, boggy moorland and valley climbs. The 50k route passes features such as Malham Tarn and Buckden Pike and includes sections of the Dales Way. The 25k route visits lesser visited areas of the Dales.

There are course cutoffs at some checkpoints and a requirement to follow event rules and out of bounds areas. The event provides live tracking and timing, aid stations with food and drinks, a finisher meal and an UTYD gift. GPX files are provided for the 100k, 50k and 25k options.

Event base and registration operate from Grassington Devonshire Institute, 48 Main Street, Grassington BD23 5AA. Minimum ages differ by distance and are set by the organiser.
