The Ultra Tour Yorkshire Dales 50k (UTYD) is an off-road 50 kilometre event on 17 October 2026. The event is organised by Due North Events and is based at Grassington Devonshire Institute, 48 Main Street, Grassington, BD23 5AA. Minimum age to enter is 20. Entry fees listed are £60 for UKA members and £62 for non-members. Entries open 13 October 2025 and close 2 October 2026. The event offers an option to purchase XCover for possible refund cover.

Route and race format

Distance is 50k with total ascent of 1260 m. The route passes Malham Tarn, Buckden Pike and sections of the Dales Way, and includes runnable trails and areas of boggy moorland. The event provides a GPX file and allows route choice between checkpoints for the 50k, subject to event rules and out-of-bounds areas. The race is self-navigated with no way markers and few marshals; map reading, navigation skills and fell experience are required. Checkpoint cut-offs apply. Included services are GPX route, live tracking and timing, aid stations with hot and cold food and drinks, a finisher meal and an event gift. Previously the event was known as The Yorkshire Trod.
