Ultra Tour Yorkshire Dales (UTYD) : event overview

Ultra Tour Yorkshire Dales is a set of self-navigated trail events based in Grassington, Yorkshire Dales, with race headquarters at Grassington Devonshire Institute (48 Main Street, BD23 5AA). The events are open to runners and walkers and are organised by Due North Events. Route GPX files, live tracking and timing, aid stations, a finisher meal and a UTYD gift are provided.

• 50k - Total ascent 1260 m
• 25k - Total ascent 585 m

The 50k course passes features such as Malham Tarn, Buckden Pike and sections of the Dales Way. The 50k and 100k offer GPX routes with route choice allowed between checkpoints subject to event rules and out-of-bounds areas. The 25k is a fixed route and the GPX must be followed. Courses are not way marked and there are few marshals; participants must be able to navigate on the fells. Cut-offs are applied at checkpoints (for example CP3 on the 50k and CP2 on the 25k are set by elapsed time from race start). Minimum ages are 20 for the 50k and 18 for the 25k. Entry fees listed for these distances are shown as UKA and non-member rates. Entries open and close on the dates published by the organiser.
