Trail Running calendar near Loughborough 2026-2027

A family-friendly, untimed inflatable obstacle run at Donington Park with 2.5k lap-based distances, music zones, a finisher's medal and on-course water. Options range from one lap to six laps to suit different group sizes.

A 102 mile trail ultramarathon around Chester on Saturday 17 April 2027 with 1590 m of ascent and a 32 hour cut off. The route links regional trails and canals, features 12 staffed checkpoints and live GPS tracking.

A 13 mile offroad trail on the Malvern Hills on 24 April 2027, starting from the Elim Arts Centre. The course passes woodlands and a ridge top at Wynds Point with multiple aid stations, staffed checkpoints and a café at race headquarters.

A single-loop 10 km running safari at Yorkshire Wildlife Park on 25 April 2027, on mixed surfaces with views of animals such as lions, rhinos and giraffes. Tickets are currently sold out and a waiting list is available.

A multi-terrain marathon and half marathon on the traffic-free Tissington Trail in Derbyshire, using a former railway line between Ashbourne and Buxton. Includes route maps, a bespoke medal, free photos and prizes for leading runners.

A trail running event at Temple Newsam House in Leeds with four distance options across mixed off-road terrain, feed stations every three miles, course marshals and a bespoke finishers' medal.

A 33 miles trail race that follows much of the Chesterfield Round Walk around Chesterfield, crossing moorland, woodland and farmland. The route is largely unmarked but organisers provide route notes and GPX files and checkpoints offer water..

A one-day trail event in Ilmington offering six distances from 10K to 100KM plus a new two person 100KM relay, with feed stations, baggage support, GPX maps and trackers on the longer routes.

A small FRA licensed fell race held each May over a hilly five mile route around Rainow and Kerridge Ridge. Entry is limited and proceeds are donated to local charities and rescue services.

Evening pop up runs at Rodley with 5k and 10k options, finishers receive a jumble medal and a soft drink. Entry fees are listed from £12 to £17 and payment on the day is accepted.
