Weston Park Pretty Muddy 5k

The event is a Pretty Muddy 5k obstacle course held at Weston Park, Weston-Under-Lizard, Nr Shifnal, Telford TF11 8LE. The start and finish are on the grassed site in front of the hall. The route uses a mixture of paths, tracks and grass and includes some hills with views over Shropshire and Staffordshire. A course map is provided and may be subject to change.

Participants take part in staggered wave starts every 15 minutes. The event requires participants to be at least 13 years old. There is a separate Pretty Muddy Kids programme for younger children.

Onsite facilities listed include refreshments, toilets and event parking next to the start and finish. Parking and the event site are on grass; Blue Badge parking is available approximately 60 m from the site and poor weather may affect accessibility. There are no electric vehicle charging points, no cycle racks and no direct bus routes. The nearest train station is Shifnal, about a 12 minute drive from the venue.

The event is organised by Cancer Research UK and involves fundraising. Prices shown include earlybird adult and child options and a minimum fundraising target is indicated. Trail runs nearby

A backyard ultra at Far Coley Farm on 29 May 2026 where runners complete a 4.167 mile loop every hour until one runner remains. The event features a race village, limited on site accommodation and basic recovery facilities.

A reworked May 2026 50 mile trail around Telford passing Ironbridge and the Wrekin, with four checkpoints, recommended trail shoes and a 9PM cut off. Participants report good waymarking and well stocked aid stations.

03 June 2026 at Kinver Edge, a 10 km trail run over two laps on local tracks with varied climbs. Canicross is permitted and advance entries cost £10, with limited places and series entry open until 1 May 2026.

A 6 km fell race near Pontesbury on 3 June 2026 with 354 m of ascent, organised by Mercia Fell Runners. Entry is available by pre-entry or on the day and a junior race takes place earlier the same evening.
