The Nene Valley Races - Kings Cliffe 10k takes place on Sunday 12 April 2026. The event starts and finishes at KC Active, Kingsmead, Station Road, Kings Cliffe, PE8 6YH. The minimum age is 16 or older on the event date. Entry fee is £22.00. Entries open 16 June 2025 and close 10 April 2026. Registration is handled through SiEntries.

Course and logistics

The race is a circular 10k trail on easy tracks and paths through the Nene Valley countryside. The route includes green fields, farm tracks, and disused railway tracks. It will be fully marked and marshalled and includes a well stocked aid station. Organisers request runners bring their own cup or water bottle for the aid station to reduce waste. There is plentiful car parking at the venue.

There are no refunds if a competitor cannot race; entrants may transfer their place to another person or defer to the following year via SiEntries. A T-shirt or a “Trees not Tees” donation option is offered as an extra when booking. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.

Near Market Harborough, run a 5 mile out and back through the atmospheric Oxendon Tunnel with moody lighting; bring a headtorch. Pick night or dawn for a sunrise reveal and earn interlinking medals if you take on both.

Tackle the Seagrave Wolds Challenge, an annual 16 mile cross country run through the hilly Leicestershire Wolds. Not timed as a race, it is a true personal test across varied terrain and all well behaved dogs are welcome.

Take on the Dormouse Challenge, a six hour off road loop at Salcey Forest on 21 November 2025 where you can run, walk, hike or ruck as many 3.5 mile laps as you like. Canicross welcome and the event supports Roald Dahl’s charity.

Run 26.3 miles over five laps around the scenic Colworth Estate near Sharnbrook on 30 Nov 2025. Open to solo runners and teams, this intimate trail and road loop has drink stations but is cup free so bring a bottle.

Push your limits at ZigZag Bauble Bimble, a 4 or 6 hour timed multi lap running challenge at Ferry Meadows. Tackle a scenic mixed terrain loop for distances from 5 km up to marathon and ultra, with aid at base camp and a finisher medal.
