Northants 5K Series Race 4 at Fermyn Woods Country Park

The event is the fourth race in the Northants 5K Series, held on Wednesday 8 July 2026 at Fermyn Woods Country Park near Brigstock, Kettering. The course is a multi-terrain 5 km route through parks and ancient woodland south of Corby. This is the third year the series has used Fermyn Woods for Race 4.

Entry fees are listed as £15.00 or £17.00 with an additional non-refundable booking fee of £1.50; the lower fee applies to runners affiliated to UK Athletics. Entries close on Tuesday 7 July. There is a no-refund policy but entrants may request to defer an entry to another series race if the request is made before bookings close and a reason and preferred event are provided.

Practical arrangements include limited car parking at the country park, with parking charged at £3.50 and payments being taken in advance. Route maps and full race day details will be published before the race. Race packs for the whole series and race numbers are collected on race day at the red Nsport gazebo.

All finishers receive a bespoke 5K race medal that differs at each race; a virtual completion option is available and medals can be posted to complete the set for eligible entrants. First aid cover will be provided by a mobile medical crew. Toilet facilities are available and the park cafe will be open before and after the event. A 5k, 10k and junior race at Sixfields Stadium in Northampton on Sunday 31 May 2026. The start and finish are inside the stadium and the route continues on closed roads around the town.

A six hour lap based event from Braybrooke Taproom on well surfaced trails along the Griffin Trail and Brampton Valley Way, with free parking, onsite toilets and a taproom for post run refreshments.

A 46 mile (74 km) annual run or walk around Cambridgeshire that starts and finishes at RAF Wyton, visiting four former RAF Pathfinder Force airbases. Options include solo completion or team relay with eight checkpoints on the route.

A 5 km muddy obstacle course at Willen Lake on 06 June 2026 where participants climb, crawl and slide through timed waves. Entry fees and a minimum fundraising target apply, with on-site facilities and accessibility support available.
