Race 4 Northants 5K Series 2026

Race 4 of the Northants 5K Series takes place on Wednesday 8th July at Fermyn Woods Country Park in Brigstock, Kettering (NN14 3HS). The series features multi-terrain courses through parks and woodlands; this event is set in an ancient woodland location south of Corby and is the third year the series visits Fermyn Woods.

The event uses the popular 5km distance and is open to people aged 11 years and over. On race day, 11 and 12 year olds must be accompanied around the course by an adult entrant. All finishers receive a bespoke 5K race medal; each race in the series has a different medal. A virtual completion option is available so registered entrants can receive the medal by post if they cannot attend in person.

Entry fees are listed as £15.00 or £17.00 with an additional non-refundable booking fee of £1.50; the lower fee applies to runners affiliated to UKA. Entries close at 23:59 on Tuesday 7th July. Car parking at the country park is limited, will be paid in advance, and carries a fee of £3.50. Route maps will be uploaded to the Northamptonshire Sport Event Hub before race day.

Race packs for the whole series and race numbers are collected on race day at the red Nsport gazebo. A mobile medical crew will be on standby, toilet facilities are available, and a cafe operates before and after the event. The organiser operates a zero refund policy but permits deferral requests made with a reason and preferred replacement event before bookings close.
