Chester Ultra 100

Chester Ultra 100 is a trail ultramarathon covering approximately 102 miles with about 1590 m of accumulated ascent. The event is limited to 400 places and has a 32-hour overall cut-off. Entry fees are listed as £209 (unaffiliated) and £207 (affiliated).

The route links local trails and features including the Sandstone Trail, the Marches Way beside the River Dee, Helsby Hill, Frodsham, Beeston Castle, Delamere Forest and the Bridgewater Canal. The course is waymarked and includes 12 checkpoints along the route. A GPX file is provided for navigation and final route updates are published before the event.

Checkpoints supply drinks (cola, Tailwind mandarin, water, juice), snacks, fruit and sandwiches; pasta and soup are available at specific indoor checkpoints and hot drinks are provided at all indoor checkpoints. Vegan and vegetarian options are offered. Medical cover and first responders are present.

The event is licensed by the Trail Running Association and held under UK Athletics rules. It awards ITRA and UTMB mountain performance index points (allocation to be confirmed). Entrants must be at least 20 years old and must have previously completed an organised ultramarathon of at least 50 miles.

Mandatory kit must be carried at all times and includes waterproof outerwear, a 1-litre water container, headtorch (min 75 lumens), a thermal/survival bag, whistle and the GB Race Tracker device issued at registration. One pacer is permitted from the halfway point; dropbags are allowed at specified checkpoints. Supporter and parking restrictions apply at several checkpoint locations. Trail runs nearby

A ladies five mile trail race in Worsley on 3 May 2026, organised by Swinton Running Club and based at Beesley Green Community Centre. Online entries open at midnight on 31 December and standard ticket fees apply.

A 6.9 km running event at Ysgol Dinas Bran in Llangollen with 350 m of ascent. The course is partially marked, minimum age over 16, day-entry fee £5, with refreshments plus showers and changing available.

A summer evening charity run at Marbury Park with a 5k adult race and 1k kids' fun run, plus BBQ, bar, cake stall and music. Proceeds go to The Stroke Association and all finishers receive a medal.

Run 24 hours along Offa's Dyke National Trail from Prestatyn on May 9 2026. Solo and team entries offer a continuous coastal to countryside challenge with staffed checkpoints and a finishers medal to mark your achievement.
