Race services and requirements include live online GPS tracking, chip timing, and awarding of ITRA and UTMB mountain performance index points. The race is licensed by the Trail Running Association and held under UK Athletics rules. Entrants must meet qualifying criteria including a minimum age and prior ultramarathon experience.

Logistics and participant rules cover dropbags at designated checkpoints, mandatory kit to be carried at all times, limits on support crew access at specific checkpoints, and a single pacer permitted from the halfway point.
