Chester Ultra 100 is a 102-mile ultra running event in the Chester area, held on Saturday 18 April 2026. The route has 102 miles distance and 1590 m of ascent, with 400 places and an overall cut-off of 32 hours. The race is staged under a UKA permit via the Trail Running Association and starts and finishes at Ellesmere Port Sports Village. There are 12 checkpoints along the course and dropbags are permitted at the checkpoint at Frodsham Parish Hall (used for both CP6 and CP11). Finishers receive buckle awards by finishing position: top 100 Gold, 100–200 Silver, 201+ Bronze; additional prizes are awarded to the top three male and top three female finishers.

Course, logistics and rules

The course links local trails and canals, including the Sandstone Trail, the Marches Way (beside the River Dee), Helsby Hill, Beeston Castle, Delamere Forest and the Bridgewater Canal. The route is waymarked and includes live GPS tracking via GB Race Tracker; trackers are issued at registration, remain the property of the organiser and must be returned or a replacement charge applies. Participants must meet qualifying criteria: minimum age 20 and completion of a prior ultramarathon of at least 50 miles. Mandatory kit must be carried at all times and will be subject to random checks; required items include a waterproof coat, long-sleeve base layer, 1-litre water capacity, charged mobile phone, thermal/survival bag, headtorch, backup light, whistle and the event GPS tracker. Support crew access is restricted at certain checkpoints and dogs (except service dogs) are not permitted at checkpoints or the start/finish.
