The Malvern Hills Ultra

The Malvern Hills Ultra is an out and back ultramarathon based at Abberley Village Hall, Worcestershire (WR6 6AZ). The full route predominantly follows the Worcestershire Way, turns at Sally's Place (British Camp) and returns to Abberley. Competitors are strongly advised to use the provided GPX file and race maps for navigation.

The event offers multiple race distances and a series of checkpoint locations. Checkpoints referenced in event information include The Admiral Rodney (WR6 6PL), Suckley Post Office (WR6 5DU) and Sally's Place (WR13 6DW). Checkpoint provision varies by distance; the longest distance uses five checkpoints while shorter distances use fewer. The published route profile for the full distance shows 2,941 m ascent and the same descent over about 47 miles.

Entry terms are non refundable. Entry fees include a contribution to the Malvern Hills Conservators with contributions noted to date. Finishers receive a bespoke MHU medal and a technical MHU T-shirt; other commemorative items are also mentioned for some distances.

Race rules require competitors to carry mandatory kit and to be familiar with the route and safety requirements. The organiser sets checkpoint cut off times and requires participants to ensure their passage through all designated checkpoints is recorded.
