Course and logistics

The full route is an out-and-back that predominantly follows the Worcestershire Way, turning at Sally’s Place, British Camp, and returning to the village hall. The organiser provides a GPX file and maps; competitors are strongly advised to use them. The longest distance has an ascent of 2,941 m and an equal descent; this is noted as just under 10,000 ft total ascent.

Checkpoints and navigation: the event uses multiple checkpoint stations (the number depends on chosen distance) for time and welfare monitoring and to provide water and some food. The race has an overall maximum time allowance of 13 hours and enforced checkpoint cut-offs. Timed pacers called "timelords" are available to help with navigation and pacing. Mandatory kit requirements and safety checks apply at registration. Finishers receive a bespoke MHU medal and a commemorative item such as a technical T-shirt, mug, or hat.
