Race Details

The Rainow 5 is a trail and fell race categorized as BS by the FRA. The event takes place from the village of Rainow on the edge of the Peak District.

The Route

The route is five miles (8km) long with 751 feet (229m) of ascent. It is described as hilly and takes in the landmarks of White Nancy and the Kerridge ridge. The entire course is on footpaths.

Event Information

Entry is for participants aged 16 or older. This is a pre-entry only event. Entries open on March 1, 2026, and close on May 4, 2026, or when the race is full. Entry fees are £9.00 for FRA members and £10.00 for non-members.

Number collection is from 6:00 PM at the Rainow Village Institute on Stocks Lane. The race starts at 7:30 PM. Parking is available on village streets, with marshals directing participants; car-sharing is encouraged.

Post-Race and Charity
