The five-mile, hilly route takes runners along rural lanes and ridgelines around Rainow and Kerridge Ridge, attracting around 250–300 participants. The event is a low-key, community-focused affair, with post-race cakes and a social chat, and an optional pub stop nearby. Prizes are modest, designed to maximise donations to local charities and community projects such as village facilities and nature reserves.
