Tempo Trail Races

Tempo Trail Races is a one-day trail running event in Ilmington, Shipston on Stour, offering multiple distances on Cotswold trails on Sunday 2 May 2027. The event base is Ilmington Sports & Social Club and parking is at the Sports Club.

Distances offered:

• 100KM Ultra
• 50KM Ultra
• 100KM Ultra Relay (teams of two, each runner completes 50KM)
• Marathon
• Half Marathon
• 10K

The 100KM has course cutoffs at the halfway point (31 miles) and at Blockley (47.5 miles); runners outside these cutoffs will be offered a lift back to the start/finish. The 50KM is a point to point route from Ilmington to Hailes with return transport available for those without their own lift. A location tracker is provided for the 100KM and 50KM routes. GPX files and printed maps are provided or recommended for the longer routes for navigation.

All races except the 10K have feed stations offering drinks and food at multiple mile markers; participants should carry their own fluids and any specific nutrition needed between stations. Baggage drop is at Race HQ; ultra runners may leave bags to be transferred to the halfway point at Hayles Fruit Farm.

Prizes are awarded on gun time to first, second and third male and female finishers for each distance. Each finisher receives a medal. Entry is online only, entries are limited, and entry fees range from £29 to £85. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
