Pershore Plum 10k
The Pershore Plum 10k is a chip timed, multi terrain flat 10 km race that starts at Pershore Leisure Centre and finishes in Abbey Park with Pershore Abbey as a backdrop. The route runs along Pershore High Street, crosses the river, passes through the countryside and fields around Wick, then returns into Pershore town. Marshals, directional signs and road markings will be in place on the course.
Entry is online only through Entry Central, limited to 325 runners and allocated on a first come first served basis. If the limit is reached a waiting list will be created. There are no entries on the day. Entry fees listed are £22.00 for non affiliated runners and £20.00 for UKA affiliated runners. All runners must be at least 18 years old. Dogs, bikes and buggies are not permitted on the course.
Race HQ and registration are at Pershore Leisure Centre where race number and chip collection take place. Toilets and changing facilities are available at the leisure centre. Parking is available at Pershore Leisure Centre and at local town car parks including Abbey Park Car Park; an alternative car park is at the Civic Centre about a 10 minute walk from the start.
There are water stations at about 2.5 km and 7.2 km using compostable cups and an additional station may be added at 5 km in hot weather. First aid and medics will be available at the finish and a mobile first aider will patrol the course. Prize positions for the first three male and female finishers are decided by gun time and age category awards by chip time. A portion of entry fees will be donated to local Pershore charities after costs. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
