This 50 mile ultra marathon follows the Trans Pennine Trail and River Mersey from Manchester to Liverpool. Runners benefit from six supported checkpoints and live GPS tracking over a fast course with 123 meters of elevation.

Multi terrain races around Chasewater Reservoir on 28 March 2027 offering 20k, 15k, 10k, 5k and a Junior Run. Entrants receive a bespoke medal, free photos and prizes for leading runners.

Peak Rail 7 pits runners against a steam hauled heritage train on the route from Rowsley South to Matlock Riverside and back. The course uses shared trails with marshals, on site parking, and post race photos and results published online.

A trail race of just over 10K on Easter Monday 2027 that starts at Shibden Park, climbs to Beacon Hill and runs through several Halifax landmarks. The event supports Overgate Hospice and is licensed by England Athletics.

April 2027

Three long distance mountain races around the Bannau Brycheiniog National Park start and finish in Brecon. Distances include a 100 km ultra, a 40 mile ultra and a marathon, with marked routes, checkpoints and GPS tracking.

A spring running and walking festival in the Shropshire Hills with off road distances from 10 km to 80 km. Events raise funds for the Grow Cook Learn charity and feature varied trail terrain and staffed checkpoints serving local food.

A canal side running festival on 4 April 2027 along the Rochdale Canal offering races from 5 km to 100 km, with aid stations, chip timing, optional transport and prize categories.

An 8.6 mile multi terrain race around Trawsfynydd Lake on mixed tarmac and trails with 175 m ascent, chip timed and marshalled. Proceeds support South Snowdonia Search and Rescue; open to athletes aged 17 and over.

Weekend trail races on the Monsal Trail in the Peak District offering a half marathon and a 10K on Saturday 10 and Sunday 11 April 2027, using a traffic free multi terrain route that passes through four tunnels and over Monsal viaduct.

A 54 mile circular ultra and a 26.2 mile marathon route start from Brixworth Country Park, mixing trails, roads and canal towpaths with staffed checkpoints and real time GPS tracking.

A spring trail event at Carsington Water in Derbyshire on 10 April 2027 offering Half Marathon and 10k routes around the reservoir. Routes are marked and GPX is provided; entries include a themed medal and chip-timed results.

A 28 mile run along the traffic free Brampton Valley Way, staged as a Leicestershire versus Northamptonshire contest with 100 places from each end. The route includes two dark tunnels, feed stations every 4.5 miles and a 7 hour cut off.

Summit 2 Sea is a roughly 13.8 mile trail half marathon from Moel y Parc along the Offa's Dyke National Trail to Prestatyn beach. The route includes over 2450 ft of ascent, two feed stations and specified mandatory kit.

A spring 10 mile trail race around Rivington Village with woodland, moorland and reservoir views, timed and marshalled by Trail Blazing Events, offering a bespoke finisher medal and multiple prize categories.
