Nant Yr Arian Silver Trail Races

The Nant Yr Arian Silver Trail Races take place on 14 March 2026 at Nant Yr Arian in the Cambrian Mountains. The event is organised by Aberystwyth Athletic Club and is staged as a not-for-profit event that supports local charities. This is the ninth edition of the Silver Trail races.

Races and distances

• Half Marathon
• 10 km
• 0.5 mile (Under 7s, must be accompanied by an adult)
• 1.5 miles (Ages 7-11)
• 2.6 miles (Ages 12-16)

The routes are fully signed and waymarked, with GPX files available as backup. The Half Marathon has two feed stations and the 10 km has one. There is no cut-off time for the main races. Because the event is held in mountain terrain, a basic level of mandatory kit is required for participants.

Entries and logistics

Entries opened on 22 March 2025 and close on 4 March 2026. Transfers between entrants are allowed only while entries are open; race deferrals are not permitted. Entry fees vary by category, for example UKA members pay £35 for the Half Marathon and £25 for the 10 km, with slightly higher fees for non-members and a reduced fee for juniors. Hot and cold food, speciality coffee, and healthy food options are available at the event village.
