Event overview

The Twin Peaks & Ras Consti event is scheduled for Sunday 11 October 2026 (TBC) and is organised by Clwb Athletau Aberystwyth Athletics Club. Race headquarters and the start/finish are on Aberystwyth Promenade at the bandstand. Both races use a mix of surfaces and include hill climbs and descents along local paths and roads.

Races, course and race-day information

  • 11.7 kilometres with 237 metres of climb (senior race, age 16 and over)
  • 1.77 kilometres (junior 11 and under)
  • 2.57 kilometres (junior secondary, 12 and over)

The senior course heads south from the bandstand, circles the harbour, climbs Pen Dinas (gravel then rocky ascent, hillfort at the summit) and returns via the promenade to climb Constitution Hill (rocky path, crosses the cliff railway, then tarmac descent back to the promenade). The junior course starts and finishes at the bandstand and takes in part of or a full climb of Constitution Hill. Race HQ provides registration and informal bag storage. Toilets are available at the bandstand and nearby public facilities. Water is provided near the harbour on the senior course and at the start/finish. First aid is provided by St John Ambulance. Headphones are not permitted; bone conducting headphones are allowed.
