MTC Gelert

The MTC Gelert is a challenging 47-mile ultra marathon held in Wales, running from Barmouth to Llanidloes along the scenic National Cycle Route 8. It forms Day 3 of the six-day CYMRUN, part of the Mount to Coast End to End Challenge Series, which celebrates Welsh myths and legends. The route features significant elevation changes with over 6,800 feet of ascent and 6,300 feet of descent, demanding strong endurance and navigation skills. The race is limited to 20 solo entrants plus 20 CYMRUN participants, with mandatory kit requirements and cut-off times based on a minimum 4 mph pace.
