Summit 2 Sea - The Offa's Dyke Half Marathon

Summit 2 Sea is a spring off road half marathon of about 13.8 miles that follows the Offa's Dyke National Trail from the summit of Moel y Parc to the beach at Prestatyn. The event is scheduled for 12 April 2026 and is based at the Nova Centre in Prestatyn for registration.

The course starts at over 1,300 ft above sea level and finishes at sea level, with more than 2,450 ft of total ascent along a hilly route. There are two feed stations on the course and the National Trail is described as well marked. The event uses electronic timing for results.

Registration takes place at the Nova Centre in Prestatyn. Organisers provide a coach, bookable at extra cost nearer race day, that transports competitors to Bodfari; from there a warm up walk of around 45 minutes leads to the start on the summit. Competitors who have transport from the finish may travel directly to Bodfari for the walk to the start.

There is a generous cut off of five hours overall, with an intermediate cut off of 2 hours 10 minutes at 10.5 km. Mandatory kit requirements may apply and can be relaxed slightly based on conditions. Mandatory items include a waterproof jacket and trousers, hat or buff and gloves, a foil blanket or orange survival bag, a fully charged mobile phone, a whistle, and at least 500 ml of water at the start.
