Battle of the Brampton Valley Way
Market Harborough, United Kingdom • 12 Apr 2026
The Battle of the Brampton Valley Way is a unique ultra running event held in Leicestershire and Northamptonshire, featuring a flat, traffic-free 28-mile (45km) out-and-back course along the scenic Brampton Valley Way. Runners choose to start from either Market Harborough or Northampton, representing their county in a friendly competition with 100 places available at each end. The route passes through rural Northamptonshire and includes two long, dark tunnels requiring head torches. With modest elevation gain and hard-packed trail suitable for road or trail shoes, the race offers aid stations every 4.5 miles, professional first aid, and chip timing. All finishers receive a special medal, and prizes are awarded to top finishers. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
