Rasus y Bannau
Rasus y Bannau is a set of three long distance mountain races held 2nd - 3rd April 2027. The events start and finish in Brecon Town Centre at Theatre Brycheiniog, Brecon, Wales LD3 7DW. The organiser is Run Walk Crawl.
The races follow circular routes through the Bannau Brycheiniog National Park and include ridgelines, forests, valleys, waterfalls and summit sections. Named summits and ridges on the courses include Cribyn, Fan y Big, Carn Pica, Tor y Foel, Craig y Fan Ddu, Cefn Cul, Corn Du, Pen y Fan, Fan Fawr, Fan Llia, Fan Brycheiniog, Fan Gyhirych and Fan Nedd.

- 100 km Ultra +5,100 m elevation
- 40 Mile Ultra +2,850 m elevation
- Marathon +2,000 m elevation
Runners should be prepared for self reliance and mountain navigation; routes use GPS navigation and key junction markers and may include exposed terrain and periods of night running for the ultras. Support includes checkpoints with water, energy drink and food: 7 checkpoints for the 100 km, 5 for the 40 mile race and 4 for the marathon, with a drop bag location at CP5 for the 100 km. The event provides GPS tracking, electronic timing, mountain safety teams, route marking and free race photography. Cut offs are given as maximum allowed times for each race.
