Rasus y Bannau

Rasus y Bannau (The Beacon Races) are three long-distance mountain runs based in Brecon, within the Bannau Brycheiniog National Park. Entrants choose from 100 km, 75 km Ultra Trail, or Marathon distances, with ascent totals of about 5,100 m, 3,500 m and 2,000 m respectively. The circular routes start at the Theatre in Brecon and climb Cribyn before traversing ridgelines past Fan y Big and Carn Pica, with Ultra distances heading toward Tal y Bont and the Black Mountain region, and the marathon looping to Pen y Fan and back.
