Trail Running calendar near Hugh Town 2026-2027

A 44 mile coastal ultra from Lizard Point to Land's End along the South West Coast Path. Held on 6 June 2026 with solo and relay options, severe terrain and roughly 5,531 ft of ascent.

A 42 km multi island trail marathon across the Isles of Scilly, with full coastal loops of St Martin's, Tresco, Bryher and St Agnes and a final 5 km finish on St Mary's. Marked routes, tidal aware ferry transitions and a 150 runner limit.

A multi terrain race of about 10 km from Truro to St Clement and Malpas, featuring road, trail, track, hills and mud. It is the final race in the Cornish multi terrain series and includes individual and club prizes plus a keepsake.

A crewed, self navigation team event where five runners tackle 100 mile trail and coastal routes in Cornwall with a 36 hour limit. Entry costs £110 and participants must meet qualifying and kit requirements.

Hourglass on 27th June 2026 is a last person standing running event of repeated *2 mile* laps around the Royal Cornwall Events Centre. Lap time allowances shrink each circuit and runners are eliminated if they miss the limit.

July 2026

An evening coastal trail event on Cornwall's north coast offering a Sunset Half and a new Long 10. Routes link Perranporth and the Bowgie at Crantock with on-course aid, medals for finishers, and awards for top placings.

The Gecko Gathering - Harlyn will take place in Cornwall on Sunday 19 July 2026. You can run between 11 and 21 kilometers.

A community 7 mile multi terrain race in Tywardreath on 25 July 2026, starting and finishing at the village pub. The hilly course runs on footpaths, bridleways and quiet lanes and supports local charities as part of village summer events.

August 2026

A beach and dunes 10 km in Hayle on 6 August 2026, featuring Towans paths and a "Dune of Doom". The event is fully chip timed and includes a separate 1 mile beach fun run for U16s.

A team based 100 mile trail event in Cornwall with three route options. Teams of five self navigate with crew support, a 36 hour limit, qualifying experience required, and a non refundable entry fee of £110.

Portmellon Trail is a new 12 km trail run on 16 August 2026 around the coastal village of Portmellon and the Wet Bodrugan nature reserve. The course is described as fun, technical and challenging and the entry fee is 20 GBP.

Gecko Gathering at Scorrier House on 23 August 2026 offers family friendly trail races from 2.5k to a half marathon plus a 5 hour Scorriergeddon endurance event. The race village includes live music, food, drinks and a bar.

September 2026

A 42 km multi island trail marathon across the Isles of Scilly with boat transfers, marked coastal routes and organised support. Entry is limited to 150 runners and competitors must be self sufficient with a minimum of three litres of water..

A 60 km coastal trail across the five inhabited Isles of Scilly with boat transfers and technical coastal paths. The race is self sufficient, uses pace based cut offs, and is limited to 150 participants.

A multi-duration trail event at Tehidy Woods on 12 September 2026, using a marked 4 mile loop. Runners choose from 3, 6, 9 or 12 hour formats and compete on a hilly, technical woodland course.

October 2026

A three day coastal challenge from near Padstow to Lands End covering up to 78.6 miles with GPS tracking, staffed checkpoints, daily transport from event HQ and on course medical support.

An endurance event near Bedruthan Steps and St Eval where runners complete repeated laps of 4.167 miles until one person remains. Camping is available and entrants must be over 18.

A 40 mile coastal endurance event from Fistral Beach to St Ives Bay Holiday Park following the South West Coast Path, with GPS tracking, staffed checkpoints and medical cover for participants.

A five day series across the Isles of Scilly offering marathons, half marathons and island loops on five islands. Participants can complete the full series or enter single days, with marked loops and island support facilities.

A 12 hours plus one round endurance event on the Perranporth coast where distance stays limited but round time shifts without warning. Competitors who complete 12 rounds enter a final hour one versus one; recommended fitness three miles in..
