St Ives Bay 10k

St Ives Bay 10k is a testing off-road race over approximately 10 km that follows beach, dunes and Towans paths. The course begins on the beach and proceeds toward the lighthouse, then rises into the dunes at Gwithian car park around mile 3. Runners follow about two miles of Towans paths, including a final named "Dune of Doom", before returning to the beach for the closing 1.2 miles. A water stop is located at mile 3 and the event is run as a CUPLESS race.

The event is fully chip timed and is held under UKA rules with licence number 8112 through the Trail Running Association. Prizes are awarded to the first three male and first three female finishers, with additional age category and team prizes. Facilities include changing and toilet areas and nearby car parking for a fee. Headphones including bone conduction models are not permitted.

Hayle Runners has supported the Hayle Food Bank since 2022 and participants are invited to contribute items to assist local families. Entries and entry swaps are managed before the day of the race rather than on the day.
