The Woods 2027
The Woods 2027 is a timed lap event held at Tehidy Woods, just off the B3301 north coast road in Cornwall. The course is a four mile loop; participants select one timed category and run as many laps as possible within that time. The available time categories are Rowan (3 hours), Ash (6 hours), Beech (9 hours) and Oak (12 hours). Winners are those with the maximum number of laps in each category.
Entry categories include both affiliated and non affiliated options with prices shown for each category. The event is organised by Bys Vyken Events and holds ARC permit number ARC/2.
Event rules and policies note that crew are allowed but support runners are not permitted on the course. Participants must be over 18 and accept the risks associated with road, trail or coastal running; they are expected to be medically able, properly trained and suitably equipped. Refunds are offered up to four weeks before the start date and deferrals are allowed up to two weeks before the start date; deferrals cannot be refunded at the subsequent race. Kit list coats are available for hire.
If the Met Office issues an Amber or Red weather warning the event cannot take place on site; organisers may reschedule the event or hold it virtually if rescheduling is not possible. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
