The Woods 2027

The Woods 2027 is a timed running event at Tehidy Woods, just off the B3301 on the north coast of Cornwall. The event date is 11 September 2027.

The course is a 4 mile loop. Runners choose a duration category and complete as many laps of the loop as possible within that time.

  • Rowan - 3 hours
  • Ash - 6 hours
  • Beech - 9 hours
  • Oak - 12 hours

The winner in each category is the participant with the maximum number of laps. Crew members are allowed, but support runners are not permitted on the course.

Event administration details include ARC Permit Number ARC/2. Refunds are available up to four weeks before the start date. Entries may be deferred up to two weeks before the start date; deferrals cannot be refunded at a subsequent race. A kit list coat can be hired on request.

The organiser’s safety notice states that running in a road, trail or coastal event is potentially hazardous and that participants should be medically able, properly trained and equipped. If an Amber or Red weather warning is issued by the Met Office the organiser will not allow the race to go ahead; if rescheduling is not possible the run will be held virtually.
