The Woods 2026 is a running event set on the North Coast at Tehidy Woods on Saturday 12 September 2026. The course is a 4-mile loop. Competitors choose how long to run and complete as many laps of the loop as possible within their chosen time; the maximum number of laps for each duration determines the winner. Entry, fees and policies

Entries open 1 February 2026. Affiliated entry fees are: Rowan £30, Ash £40, Beech £50, Oak £60. Non-affiliated (UKA/ARC clubs) fees are: Rowan £32, Ash £42, Beech £52, Oak £62. Refunds are available up to four weeks before the event; deferral is allowed up to two weeks before the event. Deferrals cannot be refunded at a subsequent race.

Entrants must be over 18 and acknowledge the event risks and the organiser terms and conditions. If the Met Office issues an Amber or Red weather warning the event cannot go ahead; it may be rescheduled or held virtually. The organiser is Bys Vyken Events. A scenic but challenging 10K around Chapel Porth and Tywarnhayle mine with coastal paths, muddy sections and technical descents. At Mount Hawke Cricket Club in Cornwall, the mixed terrain race supports the National Trust and is now full.
