Tywardreath Trotter 2026

The Tywardreath Trotter is a community road and trail race held on 25 July 2026. It is a 7-mile multi-terrain event routed on a mix of footpaths, bridleways and quiet country lanes. The race is based in the centre of Tywardreath and starts and finishes at the local pub, New Inn.

The course is hilly, beginning with a lap around the village before continuing into the surrounding countryside. Marshals and local residents provide roadside support along the route. The event is part of the Cornwall Multi-Terrain Race Series and has been held since 2006.

Organised by the Tywardreath Village Fete Committee, the race forms part of the village summer celebrations. Proceeds are directed to local charities. Entry information listed for this edition includes a minimum age of 16 or older, entry fees of £16 for UKA members and £18 for non members, and recorded entries so far of 125 participants. Entries opened on 3 August 2025 and close on 25 July 2026.

Trail runs nearby

A 13.1 mile way marked trail on 23 May 2026 from Portreath to Devoran across historic transport routes in Cornwall. No cut off time, canicross welcome, halfway checkpoint and a finisher medal.

A guided trail run of about 10 miles through woodland tracks, river valley paths and minor lanes around the Tamar Valley, starting at the Tamar Trails carpark. Steady guided pace; trail shoes, waterproof and snacks recommended.

A coastal multi terrain 10 km loop near Menabilly and Fowey on 27 May 2026. The marshalled course includes steep climbs, coast path sections and steps, with a share of proceeds supporting St Austell Foodbank.

Muskie Madness is an unmeasured 10k multi terrain race on 31 May 2026 at Marine Academy Plymouth. The course mixes on road and wooded trail sections and the venue offers showers, bag drop, food and water stations.
