The Tywardreath Trotter
The Tywardreath Trotter is an annual running event in Tywardreath on the south coast of mid-Cornwall. It takes place on a Saturday evening during the week between 24 and 30 July and forms part of the Tywardreath Summer Fete. The race is based at The New Inn in Tywardreath.
The event comprises a multi terrain race and a separate fun run. Distances offered are:
- 6.79 miles multi terrain race
- 1 mile fun run
All proceeds from the Trotter are donated to charities in Tywardreath. The first race was held in 2006, and since then the event has raised over £50,000 for local charities. The 20th Tywardreath Trotter is scheduled for Saturday 25 July 2026.
Information for participants, race marshals, previous results and event photos are maintained by the organisers. The Trotter is linked with other village activities during the summer fete weekend, providing a competitive race alongside a shorter community fun run.
