The Tywardreath Trotter is an annual running event in Tywardreath on the south coast of mid-Cornwall. It is held on a Saturday evening each year between 24 July and 30 July and forms part of the village summer fete and the Cornwall Multi-Terrain Race Series.
- 7 miles: multi-terrain race; open to competitors aged 16 or over.
- 1 mile: fun run open to all ages.
The 2026 edition is scheduled for Saturday 25 July 2026.
Course and organisation
The main race is a multi-terrain route on a mix of footpaths, bridleways and quiet country lanes. The course is roughly 50% off-road. It is hilly and includes an initial lap around the village before heading into the local countryside. The start and finish are at the New Inn in Tywardreath, PL24 2QP, and the finish is in the heart of the village with local spectators and marshals along the route.
The event is organised by the local Village Fete Committee and promoted with assistance from a local running club. Since 2006 the race has raised over £50,000 for local charities. For 2026 the listed entry fees are £16 for UKA members and £18 for non-members. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
